Dr. Susan Yatsky’s practice is dedicated to the holistic healing of children and adults with chronic conditions. She is dedicated to those who want more than symptomatic relief; those who are committed to healing their ‘dis’-ease. She is committed to being of service and transforming the health and lives of her patients. From her strong educational background in holistic and traditional medical healing, she has bridged both worlds and practices Mind-Body-Soul Medicine.
Susan earned her degree in Acupuncture from the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair, NJ. She adds 15 years of experience in holistic healing to a strong and extensive educational background, both in Eastern and holistic medicine as well as in western science and medicine. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1978 and went on to earn a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the same prestigious university in 1983.
Journey from western science to holistic medicine
Based on her Ivy League education, it was Susan’s initial belief that ‘modern medicine’ had all the answers to health. Sadly, it took a significant health problem in her own family to make her seek alternative solutions. Susan’s infant son, Jonathan, became ill and developed health problems that conventional, Western medicine was unable to treat without serious and significant side effects. This was unacceptable to Dr. Yatsky and her husband. They began searching for alternative solutions and found them in holistic health care. It was only through the use of homeopathy, NAET, NET and acupuncture that Jonathan finally was able to achieve and maintain optimal health!
After the success of her son’s holistic treatments, Susan embarked on a holistic journey, pursuing training in the modalities that had helped Jonathan. This holistic education and her extensive experience with holistic healing has radically transformed her understanding of healing and health. Because she felt so ‘called’ to help others like Jonathan, she left her thriving holistic veterinary practice to go back to school where she earned her Board Certification in Acupuncture in order to bring her wealth of education and experience to her human patients.
